At mutual orientation of cam-shafts it is forbidden to use the adjusting labels intended for other purposes.

Prevention

Before works prepare two bolts with carving of 6х1 mm and length of 15-20 mm which will be used when dismantling as auxiliary.


Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover heads of the block of cylinders (see subsection 3.1.1.3).
2. Establish the piston of the 1st cylinder in VMT of a step of compression (see subsection 3.1.1.2).
3. Remove the ignition distributor (see subsection 3.3.6). Remove a conducted gear wheel of a cam-shaft (see subsection 3.1.1.8) and a gear belt (see subsection 3.1.1.6).
4. Measure axial люфт each of cam-shafts by means of a display head. Establish the indicator on a zero. Shake a cam-shaft with force in the longitudinal direction (on itself and from itself) and define axial люфт. If люфт exceeds maximum permissible, a cam-shaft and (or) a head of the block of cylinders are subject to replacement.
5. Turn a cam-shaft so that the technological opening under an auxiliary bolt was turned vertically up. In this provision of a cam-shaft cams of the first and third cylinder should rest under the influence of springs against pushers with identical efforts.

Prevention

The cam-shaft should be exposed in such situation that at removal of a cam-shaft to avoid breakage of a head of cylinders or the cam-shaft.


6. Unscrew four bolts and remove forward covers of basic necks of cam-shafts of final and inlet valves. Get a cap of a cam-shaft of inlet valves, remove an epiploon of a cam-shaft of final valves.
7. Attach an auxiliary gear wheel to the main gear wheel in advance prepared bolt with carving М6 and length of 15-20 mm, having screwed it in a carving opening in the main gear wheel of a cam-shaft.
8. In sequence of return specified (see fig. Sequence of an inhaling of bolts of covers of basic necks of a cam-shaft of final valves (engines of 1,3 l)) unscrew for some receptions bolts of other covers of basic necks of a cam-shaft of final valves. Turn on each bolt on 1/4 turns at one time, until then while bolts will not begin to turn away by hand. Remove covers, having lifted them vertically up.

Prevention

In process of an otpuskaniye of bolts of an average cover be convinced that the cam-shaft starts to move equally in support in the vertical direction. If any neck of a cam-shaft ceases to move freely, or the cam-shaft is released with a distortion (that is found on cams), repeat procedure of an otvorachivaniye of bolts of covers of basic necks, previously having tightened them with the set moment in the specified sequence. It is forbidden to take a cam-shaft with effort application.


9. Get a cam-shaft of final valves, having raised it up.
10. In sequence, return specified (see fig. Sequence of an inhaling of bolts of covers of basic necks of a cam-shaft of inlet valves (engines of 1,3 l)) unscrew for some receptions bolts of other covers of basic necks of a cam-shaft of inlet valves. Turn on each bolt on 1/4 turns at one time, until then while bolts will not begin to turn away by hand. Remove covers, having lifted them vertically up.
11. Wipe from oil adjusting washers of pushers, put labels with a marker and remove pushers and adjusting washers.
12. Store covers of basic necks, pushers and washers in that order in which these details were established,
13. Clamp a cam-shaft of inlet valves for a six-sided neck in a vice with soft sponges.
14. A natural two persistent pins turn an auxiliary gear wheel clockwise, then unscrew the auxiliary bolt, fixing the main and auxiliary gear wheel, and carefully weaken effort, giving the chance to an auxiliary gear wheel to turn counter-clockwise before spring liberation.
15. Take a lock ring of an auxiliary gear wheel, operating special пассатижами.
16. Remove a spring washer (1), an auxiliary gear wheel (2) and a spring of an auxiliary gear wheel (3).

Check of a condition of details

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Measure distance between the ends of a spring of an auxiliary gear wheel in a free condition and compare to the standard. If the distance differs from standard, a spring replace.
2. Check a condition of adjusting laying and pushers. Existence of chips and deep development is not allowed.
3. Measure diameter of each pusher, then measure diameter of the interfaced opening in a head of cylinders. Define gaps in pushers as a difference of diameter of the interfaced opening in a head of cylinders and diameter of a pusher. If the gap exceeds norm, it is necessary to replace a pusher (pushers) or a head of cylinders.
4. Check existence on basic necks and cams of a cam-shaft of wear tracks – grooves, poles, a navolakivaniye of metal and overheat traces (sites of bluish color, or the painted sites). Check existence on each cam of an otsloyeniye of the tempered layer.
5. Measure by a micrometer the size of each cam of a cam-shaft and compare the sizes to the standard. If the size at least one cam less standard, a cam-shaft replace.
6. Measure by a micrometer diameter of basic necks of a cam-shaft and compare the sizes to the standard. If diameter at least one basic neck less standard, a cam-shaft replace.
7. Check gaps in basic necks for each cam-shaft.
8. Clear basic necks of a cam-shaft and a cover of basic necks in solvent for varnishes or in acetone.
9. Carefully lay a cam-shaft (ы) in a head of the block of cylinders without pushers, adjusting washers and an auxiliary gear wheel of a cam-shaft of inlet valves. Availability of oil on necks is not allowed.
10. Across each basic neck of a cam-shaft lay pieces of a plastic calibration wire of "Plastigauge".
11. Establish covers of basic necks of cam-shafts so that shooters were directed towards a gear belt.
12. Tighten bolts with the set moment turning each bolt on 1/4 turns at one time.

Prevention

Cam-shaft turn with the inserted plastic calibre is not allowed.


13. Unscrew bolts and remove covers.
14. Compare width of the crushed wire (in the widest place) to a scale on packing.
15. If the gap at least in one of necks exceeds norm, a cam-shaft and (or) a head of the block of cylinders are subject to replacement.
16. To Soskrebita a nail or plastic, the plastic remains, thus do not scratch a basic neck or an internal surface of a cover.
17. At temporarily established covers of basic necks check a gap in gearing of gear wheels of cam-shafts. Holding a key one of cam-shafts for a six-sided neck, check size of moving of a gear wheel of other cam-shaft. Result compare to the standard. If the gap is higher than norm, both cam-shafts replace.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Collect a cam-shaft of inlet valves with springs and an auxiliary gear wheel. Establish a spring washer (1), an auxiliary gear wheel (2) and a spring of an auxiliary gear wheel (3) (a photo at the left), fix all details a lock ring (a photo on the right).
2. Wrap an auxiliary bolt, being guided by the item 7 of the real subsection.
3. Establish pushers on former places, previously having greased pushers with greasing on the basis of a disulfide of molybdenum, an opening in a head of cylinders. Be convinced of safety of adjusting laying on pushers.
4. Grease basic necks and cams of a cam-shaft of inlet valves with greasing on the basis of a molybdenum disulfide, or assembly greasing.
5. A cam-shaft of inlet valves so that the technological opening under a bolt was located by Soriyentiruyte in extreme top situation, then establish a cam-shaft on a head of cylinders.
6. Establish covers of a cam-shaft of inlet valves (except a lobby) on former places, observing numbering and orientation of arrows which should be directed towards a gear belt.
7. Evenly in stages and observing sequence (see fig. Sequence of an inhaling of bolts of covers of basic necks of a cam-shaft of inlet valves (engines of 1,3 l) tighten bolts before complete contact of covers to a head of cylinders. Finally bolts yet do not tighten.
8. Establish pushers of final valves on former places, previously having greased pushers with greasing on the basis of a molybdenum disulfide. Be convinced of safety of adjusting laying on pushers.
9. Grease basic necks and cams of a cam-shaft of final valves with greasing on the basis of a molybdenum disulfide, or assembly greasing.
10. Combine adjusting labels on gear wheels of inlet and final valves (see fig. Adjusting labels on gear wheels of cam-shafts of inlet and final valves).

Prevention

On some engines there are two sets of labels. Track that the necessary labels (see fig. were combined. Two sets of adjusting labels on engines of 1,3 l).


11. Turn a gear wheel of a final cam-shaft on a gear wheel inlet and evenly establish a final cam-shaft in pro-points of a head of cylinders under basic necks, thus slightly turn a gear wheel of an inlet cam-shaft on an identical corner in both directions.
12. Establish covers of a final cam-shaft (except a lobby) on former places, observing numbering and orientation of arrows which should be directed towards a gear belt.
13. Wrap bolts before complete contact of covers to a head of cylinders. Wrap bolts evenly in stages, observing sequence for an inhaling of bolts. Finally bolts yet do not tighten.
14. Unscrew an auxiliary bolt of fastening of the main and auxiliary gear wheels of a cam-shaft of inlet valves.
15. Put RTV type hermetic on a contact surface of a forward cover of a cam-shaft of inlet valves with a head of cylinders.

Prevention

The cover should be established at once after hermetic drawing, before its hardening.


16. Establish a forward cover and evenly, in stages and observing sequence, tighten two bolts of fastening before complete contact of a cover to a head of cylinders. Finally bolts yet do not tighten.
17. Establish a cap in a forward part of a cam-shaft of inlet valves.
18. Tighten bolts of covers of a cam-shaft of inlet valves in stages with the set moment in the specified sequence (see fig. Sequence of an inhaling of bolts of covers of basic necks of a cam-shaft of inlet valves (engines of 1,3 l)).
19. Oil working edges of a new epiploon for the engine or universal greasing and press a new epiploon in a head of cylinders. The epiploon surface after a press fitting should be aflush with a surface of a head of cylinders.
20. Put RTV type hermetic on a contact surface of a forward cover of a cam-shaft of final valves with a head of cylinders. Establish a forward cover and evenly, in stages and observing sequence, tighten two bolts of fastening before complete contact of a cover to a head of cylinders. Finally bolts yet do not tighten.

Prevention

The cover should be established at once after hermetic drawing, before its hardening.


21. Tighten bolts of covers of a cam-shaft of final valves in stages before achievement of the set moment (see subsection 3.1.1.1), in the specified sequence (see fig. Sequence of an inhaling of bolts of covers of basic necks of a cam-shaft of final valves (engines of 1,3 l)).
22. Turn cam-shafts on one-two complete revolution and check combination of adjusting labels. Labels should be combined.
23. Establish on a cam-shaft of final valves a conducted gear wheel and tighten a gear wheel bolt with the moment specified in subsection 3.1.1.1. At an inhaling of a bolt hold a cam-shaft a key for a six-sided neck.
24. Establish a gear belt (see subsection 3.1.1.6).
25. Other operations on installation are carried out upside-down.
